Party trick analysis…

Written on March 9, 2008. Written by Thomas Gray.

Now with Party trick analysis the clue is really in the name. This is analysis as a party trick. Analyzing a group of people not for your own psychological gain, but for the enjoyment of others.

This is perhaps the simplest type of Psychology that you can do, and it’s all based on observations of people & their groups (if they are in one).

I will give you a few tips, and some things that you can use to get started…

When analyzing a group of people, think about who is in the middle of the group, who are they paying the most attention too.
Think about where their bodies are facing. People will point their bodies to what they are interested in, so if they are interested in a particular person will point themselves towards them.
People who are un-interested in the conversation, and un-interested in any of the people will point their bodies towards an exit, or a way out.
The human mind will always subconsciously think of an escape route to any uncomfortable situation.
Look at the group dynamics, where most of the males are facing, and most of the females.
Watch how people turn their heads towards a person they are talking to, rather than their bodies, in an attempt to protect themselves.
IF they are sitting on a sofa, look at their body position, are people sitting on the arms, wit their bodies facing away and their heads turned in? What could that mean?
Look if the people feel comfortable in the group.
If someone is by themselves, watch how they act, what they do, do they attempt to gain attention to themselves?
How are they sitting?
All of the above factors are things you should watch out for. There are literally millions of factors that you can use in human psychology.

But experiment, see what works.

Enjoy!
